Wrong. Thermal energy does not have “momentum” the way a car does. You will always save more energy by turning the heat down/off than you will use heating the house back up again, whether you turn it off for 1 hour or 1 year.

What a truth – the message of our key verse in our reading today, verse 8. It is the grace of our wonderful Lord and Savior Jesus Christ – it is the grace by which we are saved.
