What are good ways to save money?
Any tips or a good list of techniques/ways to help save money and not waste it?
I’m a college student and i’m earning a pretty steady flow of pay, i live at home so tell me how i can save money because i want to buy a car. What do you guys do to not waste it or let little things pile up?
don’t eat out,no starbucks,no fast food.
stay out of bars,don’t smoke.
don’t buy new clothes-shop thrift/vintage for a more fun look. good for the planet,too.
give yourself a small allowance every payday. when it’s gone,no more until next payday. NO credit cards.

The best way is to “pay youself first” so have either a little money from a paycheck if you have one, or allowance, or whatever, automatically go into a savings account. If you save first and spend what’s left, you will be much, much better over time that people who spend first, and save what’s left! If your parents have a financial advisor, ask if he or she can help you, or go to fpanet.org to find a planner you can trust in your area,

Well I had direct deposit at my job so every Friday I would only take out 50 dollars and not even worry how much I had in the bank. Then I would just live off the 50 until the next Friday came along.
